eMarketer's new reports measures what many search marketers felt in their gut. Searchers are increasingly impatient to find what they seek on the top of search results pages. The latest metrics show that seven of 10 searchers click a result on the first page of results, 92% went as far as three pages.
What do searchers if they aren't gratified? They change their search keyword phrase or engine. Nearly half of the searchers take this tactic rather than abandon the hunt if they didn't find what they need in the first page of results - over 90% change the search criteria if they don't find the results in the first three pages.
We think this is a big opportunity. SupplyFrame search results present actual data, not links to data. You don't need to click deeper often because we present the most frequently needed component information in the search results themselves.
